GREENSBURG - Win and move on.
It wasn't pretty, but that's what Warren's Girls Majors All-Stars did on Friday, holding off Williamsport, 8-7, to move to the winners bracket final of the PA Little League state tournament.
They took States' Rights for $1,000.
And they won.
Four local students were awarded second annual Warren County Republican Committee Emory J. Mahan Memorial Scholarships in the amounts of $1,000 last month.

Crafty Tuesday will be held Tuesday, July 15th at 2 p.m. in the Study Room on the first floor of the library. Teens, tweens, children and adults are invited to attend this activity in which a variety of bookmarks will be created. All materials will be supplied for this fun event, but those having a glue gun and glue sticks may want to bring them along to ensure that we have enough of them for the activity. Children under the age of nine may wish to have an adult attend with them to assist with the projects. While reservations are appreciated to ensure that enough materials are available, walk-ins are very welcome. Call the library at 723-4650 to make a reservation or to ask a question.
