Sheetz has scrapped development plans for a site in North Warren.
Sheetz media representative Monica Jones confirmed the company's plan to not open up a 6,489-square-foot building in North Warren.
"Despite what the article states, we do not have any plans at this time," Jones said in reference to a Times Observer story from February, when the company submitted the plans.
Jones could not provide a reason for the change in plans.
Warren County Planning and Zoning Director Dan Glotz said the engineering firm Urban Engineers Inc. of Erie, had inquired about permitting for the site plans nearly two weeks ago.
Records from the Warren County Courthouse show that at least two of the properties on the proposed site - Ramco Communications and OK Keystone Service have not been sold. A total of eight properties would have been bought for the proposed development.
In February, a development plan was submitted for the area between Jackson Run Road and Vine Street along the west side of Route 62. The proposed plan included a drive-up lane, 7 fuel pump stations totaling 14 pumps and a car wash north of the store near the existing offices of Burgett and Robbins Attorneys at Law and Nancy J. Shattuck Real Estate and Associates.

We could use a Sheetz
It's a shame it's not coming in. We could use a Sheets in town.
